The event will be held for three days — from June 5-7.Where will the event be held?
The event will be at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The event's maiden edition will be held today (June 5) until Friday at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
According to Informa Markets General Manager in the Philippines and APVE organizer Rungphech Chitanuwat the three-day program shall serve as a new platform for local, international, and regional suppliers of automotive parts, accessories, maintenance equipment, and tools in the country.
The organizer noted that the country’s automotive parts sector is robustly growing — citing that it runs through the operations of more than 250 local businesses that are registered for producing and importing up to 330 types of auto parts and components. Such firms under the parts replacement industry supply original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and independent aftermarket (IAM).
Chitanuwat noted that the country’s automotive parts sector comprises around 67,100 workers nationwide — working in manufacturers of automobile, motorcycles, and parts and of direct importers.
Further, the growth of the aforementioned industry follows the strong vehicle sales in the country. By yearend, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) is eyeing to retail a total of 468,300 vehicles. Currently, the two groups already breached the 147,000-unit mark.
“Inevitably, a rising number of the Philippines’ vehicle fleet is also already ageing. Though the average vehicle lifespan in the country is about 15 years or more, there is a constant need for automotive parts whether cars are newly purchased or are running for quite some time,” Chitanuwat was quoted as saying.
