BMW M2 Options Sheet Leaked
MANILA: Creating a buzz since 2014, till now F87 BMW M2 has been revealed only in bits and pieces; sometimes through the spied images and other times increasing our expectation with the teaser images. Said to be a true successor of E30 BMW M2, the new M2 seems to be a car which is worth such a long wait. However, this time no spy shots, but a leaked options sheet has created buzz around this new talk of the town.
BMW's new creation has been seen a number of times running at the Nurburgring circuit and how could one forget the snow covered pictures of this beauty when it was undergoing a winter test run. But, it was Theophilus Chin rendered imagination of the new M2 that seemed to be the hot favorite of BMW's enthusiasts. As for the leaked options sheet, it has proved to be a very useful source of information, as it holds some great insight about the car.
According to the sheet, a standard six-speed manual gearbox and an optional seven-speed DCT transmission will participate in the power distribution process of the new 2016 M2 Coupe. Also, it is now known to run on a 19-inch alloy wheel making it even faster and efficient. On to the exterior side, the car is expected to be framed with carbon fibre that will house adaptive headlights and tinted rear window. Inside the cabin you will be served with Navigation Pro, power heated front seats, Internet access and Harman Kardon sound system. Safety is also taken full care of with the rear view camera, and the parking sensors. As for the color schemes, the European customers can get the next-generation M2 in four distinct paint shades - Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Long Beach Blue and Mineral Grey.
Under the bonnet, specs are still under shadow as there is no official discloser from the company. But, some prominent sources in automobile industry believe that the F87 will carry an N55 twin-turbocharged 3.0L in line-six power-train, with the efficiency to churn out 370 hp of power and 465 Nm of torque. Also, it is rumored to be powerful enough to produce 500 Nm of torque on overboost, lasting for few seconds.
Expected to witness its global debut in 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, this car is surely a 'second to none creation' of BMW.
