Per BMW Philippines, the all-new M2 is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder, in-line mill with M TwinPower Turbo technology. How many variants does the all-new BMW M2 have?
The all-new BMW M2 has two variants, the M2 Pure and M2 Carbon.According to the local arm of the German carmaker, the all-new BMW M2 uses a 3.0-liter six-cylinder, in-line mill with M TwinPower Turbo technology. It added that the powerplant differs only in a small number of details from the engine under the bonnet of the M3 and M4.
Peak torque is at 550 Newton-meters.
The pulsating build-up of power is accompanied by an emotionally rich soundtrack generated by the M-specific exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps. The system of oil supply is designed to handle extremely dynamic driving situations when out on the track, as is the cooling system, BMW Philippines said.
The power produced by the engine is relayed to the rear wheels thanks to the help of an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. Per BMW Philippines, the transmission setup allows its would-be owners to enjoy extremely sporty gear shifts, direct connection to the engine, and the ability to execute multiple downshifts to the lowest available for instantaneous acceleration.
Performance-wise, the all-new BMW M2 achieves a zero to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) acceleration time of only 4.3 seconds. The top speed of the M2 Pure variant is 250kph while the M2 Carbon model — equipped with the M Driver’s package — clocks in at 290kph.
Reflecting the same sporty nature is the all-new BMW M2’s exterior, which features appointments such as a large frameless BMW kidney grille, prominently flared side skirts, muscular wheel arches, and its eye-catching spoiler lip on the boot lid.
Also notable is the carbon fiber roof of the all-new BMW M2 Carbon.
The all-new BMW M2 can be had in four colors, namely Alpine White, Zandvoort Blue, M Brooklyn Gray, Black Sapphire, and M Toronto Red metallic.
Inside, the all-new BMW M2 boasts a driver-centric cockpit, which features M-specific readouts, controls, and setup options as well as the advanced BMW widescreen display. The latter offers a seamless integration of the car’s 12.3-inch information display and its 14.9-inch control unit.
The infotainment system is Apple Carplay and Android Auto-ready.
Other notable features inside the all-new BMW M2 include its carbon fiber reinforced plastic bucket seats and its Hi-Fi sound system.
The all-new BMW M2 is offered in two variants: M2 Pure and M2 Carbon. They are priced at P5.99 million and P8.89 million respectively.
