Bosch MA's Brigada Eskwela project took place at Bagong Silangan Elementary School in Quezon City.Per the Ayala-led automotive aftermarket company, the “Tara, Kaya!” program aims not just to increase student scores, but also to help them build confidence, emotional resilience, and connections with others.
Bosch MA looks to reach more students as well as parents and guardians with the aforementioned project by 2025.
“The Care for Education initiative, now in its second year, has improved so many lives and we look forward to continuing this positive impact in the years to come,” Bosch Philippines Managing Director Paulo Duarte said.
“Ensuring access to education for all will bear fruits in an ever-growing population,” he added.
To date, Bosch MA and TFP have raised some P2.76 million. Of which, P1.76 came from Bosch MA and Bosch Primavera while the remaining P1 million was donated by Warren Automotive Company.
The said sum has been used to support TFP’s Student Programs for Literacy and Life Skills initiative, which has benefited over 1,500 students as well as 770 parents and guardians.
According to Bosch MA, an overwhelming majority of participating students have shown remarkable growth by the end of TFP’s programs. The children had an average of 70 percent and 87 percent in endline scores for literacy and numeracy respectively. They — the company pointed out — also showed notable paradigm shifts in socioemotional mindsets.
“We greatly appreciate how Bosch MA shares our vision of ensuring all FIlipino children can benefit from quality education,” TFP Chief Executive Officer Mavie Almeda Ungco shared.
“Our continued partnership with education champions like Bosch MA enables us to innovate and ensure that we are able to deliver the most relevant programs for our public school students,” she concluded.
In addition, Bosch MA hosted a Brigada Eskwela project last month in support of the recently opened School Year 2024-2025. Volunteers gathered at Bagong Silangan Elementary School in Quezon City to help repair classroom furniture and school facilities — all for a more conducive learning environment for public school students.
