Bugatti Chiron, Bugatti's This Year Christmas Greeting
MANILA: Bugatti Chiron will be this year’s seasonal greeting from the house of Bugatti. Declared as the world's most powerful, most luxurious, most exclusive and fastest supercar, the Chiron is all set to make an early March debut. The 2015 Geneva Motor Show is the scheduled destination for Chiron's global showcasing.
But this is not the first time Bugatti Veyron successor will confront auto enthusiast around the world. Initially, a virtual version of the car was seen racing around the Gran Turismo 6, world's most loved racing video game. A hard metal form of the car was also shown by Bugatti through its Vision GT concept. The new Bugatti car is in work for quite some time now, as we have also seen the car back in August this year. Back then the car was spied standing at the LAX airport in California, coming back home after a private showcasing at the 2015 Concours d' Elegance.
Like its features, Bugatti Veyron successor name too is special and carries a completely different story. The new Bugatti car gets its name after the legendary racer Louis Chiron. Wolfgang Durheimer, President Bugatti Automobile said, Louis Chiron was Bugatti's most famous and fastest driver, who won 1920 and 1930 grand prix for the brand and drove Bugatti Type 35 and Type 51 respectively.
Talking about its styling language, Chiron gets many of its designing clues from Bugatti Veyron, its successor. It carries the same dual tone colour, aggressive front profile and low-slung profile as seen in its predecessor. The front side is studded horseshoe grille, aggressive front LED lights, and a sports car apt bumper. On to the side, one can see streaks aiding the downforce issue, cannards, and an extended fine on the roof.
Chiron's rear profile is its most attractive part, the car comes equipped with a carbon fiber wing that dominates most of its styling appeal. In addition, there are four chromed finished tailpipes, and a diffuser, headed by a thin stripped LED taillight.
Though, Chiron engine specification are not confirmed yet, but as per some reliable sources, it will be powered by a De-tuned 8.0L W16 quad turbo mill that presently produces 1200 PS of power in Veyron. As for Chiron, the company assures a 25 percent better performing 8.0L mill.
Like its successor, Chiron too will be a limited edition model that would be limited to 500 units, 50 more than the Veyron. According to company officials booking for the new Chiron has already crossed the 100 mark, mostly from its exclusive potential buyers.
