CALAX, Cavitex guarantee hassle-free trips this holiday season
MANILA: MPCALA Holdings, Inc. (MHI) and Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) have begun the implementation of “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos” for the anticipated rush of motorists in Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and Manila-Cavite Expressway (Cavitex) this holiday season.

The operations of CALAX and Cavitex were placed on heightened alert status to ensure that motorists have safe, secure, dependable, and convenient toll passages during the holiday rush.
According to MHI and CIC President and General Manager Roberto Bontia, all roadworks along CALAX and Cavitex are suspended from December 23 to 25 and December 31 to January 2 to provide motorists unhampered access to the expressways.
MHI and CIC also continue to provide 24/7 motorist assistance to ensure smooth flow of traffic along the expressways. Toll plaza personnel, patrol vehicles, ambulances, towing services, and maintenance vehicles will be deployed at maximum level.
Easytrip RFID installation sites along CALAX and Cavitex are also open 24/7, anticipating that several seasonal motorists will be passing by the expressway during the holiday season. Reloading services for regular account holders are also available.
Furthermore, MHI and CIC offer free towing for Class 1 vehicles (to the nearest exit only) from December 24, 2021 at 6 a.m. to December 27, 2021 at 6 a.m., and from January 1, 2022 at 6 a.m. to January 3, 2022 at 6 a.m.
MHI and CIC also remind motorists to follow road safety laws such as the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act and the Seat Belts Use Act, and to observe health and safety protocols to help prevent COVID-19 transmission.
MHI and CIC are subsidiaries of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, which also manages the operations of the Cavitex C5 Link, North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), and the upcoming Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).
