Caltex stations open in key provinces to ensure steady food supply
MANILA: As the National Capital Region (NCR) transitions to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), other areas in the country to general community quarantine (GCQ), the national government has established plans to boost economic recovery through the gradual reopening of essential businesses and operation of public transportation and cargo delivery.
In line with this, Caltex, the fuel company marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), has opened eight new service stations in specific areas crucial to food production and supply of the country. This is part of the commitment of the oil company to provide high-quality fuels for the agriculture and fishery sector to be able to deliver food supplies and fresh produce to various communities. Caltex also aims further expansion of its retail network nationwide.
In the northern part of Luzon, Chevron recently opened a retail site in Santiago-Tuguegarao Road, Quezon, Isabela. This province is one of the primary producers of crops, corn, and rice, not only in Luzon but in the whole country.
In Region III, Chevron also opened a retail site in Guagua, Pampanga. It is situated along Duat, Pulungmasle, and features a clothing shop, payment center, laundry service, and milk tea shop. Pampanga is considered to be the leading producer of tilapia, sugarcane, corn, and rice in Central Luzon.
A new Caltex station opened along Western Nautical Highway, Brgy. Puting Tubig, Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. The province boasts of its agriculture industry since it is one of the major producers of numerous fruits and crops in the Philippines.
Recently, Chevron also opened two new Caltex service stations in El Nido, Palawan, which is one of the most productive fishing areas in the Philippines. This is to ensure a continuous supply of fresh seafood in Metro Manila.
In the Bicol region, Caltex will soon open a station in Legaspi City- Tiwi Coastal Road, Rawis, Albay. The province is known for its exceptional abaca industry, and it also has several fishing villages that serve as the primary source of livelihood in the area.
Two Caltex service stations also opened in Leyte — one along the National Highway in MacArthur and the other one along the Diversion Road. The station along the Diversion road caters to the residents of Barangay Caibaan, Tacloban City, and its nearby communities. Meanwhile, the one on MacArthur serves the communities near the highway. In the Visayas region, Leyte is regarded as the top producer of sugarcane, coconut, and rice.
Sufficient fuel is essential for the economic growth and survival of the aforementioned communities where the eight service stations of Caltex are located.
All of these new stations carry the Euro-4 fuel products of the Caltex brand like Diesel with TechronD and Silver with Techron, Platinum with Techron, and lubricants.
Motorists can search for the nearest Caltex station in their area through the Caltex Locator app, which is downloadable on both App Store and Google Play.
