Carmaker Renault Stood Safe In The Emission Tests Held By AntiFraud Officials
MANILA: Recently Carmaker Renault has been under the suspension zone for a while, though it stood safe in the emission tests conducted by the AntiFraud Officials. This was confirmed by the French energy minister Segolene Royal. Further stating that the Renault automobiles don't hold any emission cheating software (Defeat Device). All this was owing to the very high emissions levels of Carbon Dioxide and Nitrogen Dioxide generated by the Renault cars. Unlike the noise made by Volkswagen, Audi Illegal Emission Software Scandal that had tarnished both the reputed brands in the Emission Testing where it couldn't safeguard itself, and was held accountable for the using illegal software to bypass the emission tests. This had led VW to take a decision on suspending its production of the Phateon in year 2016, ultimately, where VW gave its word to increase the offerings of its hybrid and all electric cars.
This news spread like wildfire in the initial instance that led to the fall in the Renault shares upto 22%. The investors, brokers and employees were quite shaken before the confirmation was floated where the broker Aurel BCG raised his voice stating that, “Everybody wants to know whether Renault is cheating, The stock exchange context and the painful memories of the VW scandal have prompted investors to massively sell the stock.” Despite of the given confirmation, further tests are planned to be conducted by French Homologation Authority for 100 more Renault cars. This incident also resulted in Volkwagen to get swallowed up in such tests due to its earlier created negative hype.
