Changan CS35 Plus ‘SafeTech’ guarantees safe trips this rainy season

MANILA: The new Changan CS35 Plus ensures safety on the road this rainy season with SafeTech, a suite of cutting-edge safety features that are rare to find in its segment.

SafeTech includes adaptive cruise control (ACC) with stop and go function, allowing the driver to maintain their desired speed. This feature automatically adjusts speed once it detects an approaching vehicle.

The Changan CS35 Plus also comes with autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and front collision warning (FCW) systems that alert the driver if there is a need to hit the brakes when a risk of rear-end collision with the vehicle in front is detected.

Meanwhile, the electronic stability program (ESP) automatically applies the brakes to specific wheels to prevent loss of directional control and help maintain vehicle stability.

The Changan CS35 Plus also features split LED headlamp design with daytime running lights (DRL) and whale tail design LED tail lamps that produce improved visibility to prevent collision while driving in adverse weather conditions. The Changan CS35 Plus also comes with a headlamp height adjuster, letting the driver set the lights in the best position for even better visibility. The Changan CS35 Plus is also equipped with emergency brake lights that flash when abrupt braking is detected, alerting the vehicle behind of the sudden stop.

The Changan CS35 Plus also comes with around-view camera and monitor with four-high definition cameras, giving the driver a clear view of the front, side, and rear surroundings through the 10-inch touchscreen display. This feature helps the driver prevent collision with nearby obstructions when parking in tight spaces.

The Changan CS35 Plus also comes standard with an HD driving recorder that records every angle taken by the around-view cameras before and after potential accidents. Videos are saved on the SD card inside the module above the brake pedal and may be instantly viewed on the 10-inch touchscreen display.

The Changan CS35 Plus is also made with an ultra-high strength body, making it robust and decay- and crash-resistant. The Changan CS35 Plus has a ground clearance of 180 mm, making it safe to cross gutter-deep floods.

According to the Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System (MMARAS), nearly half of the 26,000 recorded road accidents in Metro Manila in 2020 occured between the months of June to October, the country’s rainy season.
