MANILA: Do you recall the recent story that we covered about the Lexus UX with a TOM’s kit? One of the many ventures that Toyota owns, TOM’s has now rolled out an exclusive Camry with some dynamic aesthetic and mechanical modifications. Called C35, the TOM’s Camry is nowhere near to be called an executive sedan. Instead, it is a treat too delicious to be missed by the fanatics who love to take the corners on, even in a five-metre (almost) sedan.

The TOM’s Camry, or shall we say C35 is based on the WS trim of the Japanese-spec Camry. The modifications on the outside include much more menacing and aggressive bumpers at both front and rear. Moreover, elements like a slim pair of side skirts, side fins for the rear bumper, and a front splitter do only good to this thrilling drive. While the sedan is available in various colors, black is the one that looks the best. There are also larger than before quad exhaust pipes sneaking from under the rear bumper.

TOM'S lights, unique floormats, carbon fibre pack kit for the steering wheel, and other elements make up the aesthetic updates on the Camry. Coming on to the mechanical bits, the TOM’s Camry continues to house a 3.5-litre V6 motor that throws out 301 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 362 Nm. An eight-speed automatic transmission then sends the power to the wheels. Some notable changes made by TOM’s are the stiffened the suspension and a lowered ride height. Wheels are also new with a set of 19-inch TOM'S TH01 alloys replacing the stock rims.

Courtesy of the TOM’s Linear Throttle System, the throttle sensitivity can be adjusted in order to make it more or less aggressive as per the driver’s liking. Even without many mechanical changes, the Camry can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in no more than 6.5 seconds.
