MANILA: Recently, Indonesians witnessed the GIIAS 2016 and now it’s time for the Filipinos to gear up for the 6th Philipinne International Motor Show. In June, we gave you a brief about the upcoming event and now we have official word from the organizers. The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) has been working for the upcoming event from quite a long time and has reached the final stage of preparations for presenting the sixth edition with a bigger impact than the last edition.
Last year the theme of the show was “Progress In Motion” and focused on highlighting the role of automotive industry in boosting economy of the country. This year, the show will follow the “Steer The Future” theme and tagline “Driving Progress, Empowering Society”. This year too, the organizers will try to highlight the progress of automotive industry of the Philippines and highlight the contributions made by automotive industry towards the economic growth. PIMS will take place at the World Trade Center from September 14-18, 2016.
Just like the 5th edition, this edition will also gather 17 of the top automakers and distributors to showcase their latest vehicles and advanced technologies. The list of automakers include BMW, Toyota, Suzuki, BAIC, Peugeot, Foton, Daewoo Bus, Volkswagen, Isuzu, Jeep, KIA, Lexus, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Mercedes-Benz. Rommel Gutierrez, CAMPI President said, “PIMS is a proof that the automotive industry of the country is witnessing significant growth over the years and due to this, we are excited to stage it this year as well to lead the Filipinos to a future of better mobility and transportation. Further, we aim to contribute to the country’s economic progress through the development of the auto industry of the Philippines.
Another aim of hosting PIMS 2016 is to boost the sales of different automakers in the country. Last year, CAMPI members were able to sell a total of 288,609 units and this year they are looking to break the last year’s record. Seems like the upcoming PIMS 2016 might act as a catalyst for the participating automakers. The customers will witness future plans of different brands and also get attractive promos, as well as affordable financing schemes that will all together help in gaining the attention of the customers. Apart from this, there will be various activities for car enthusiasts, prospective buyers, automobile business owners, or anyone having keen interest in the automobile sector.
