David Beckham is new Maserati global ambassador

MANILA: Maserati welcomed international sports icon David Beckham as its newest brand global ambassador.

With a century of combining innovation, design, and passion, Maserati has crafted several iconic vehicles that made a mark in the motoring industry. The Italian carmaker tapped Beckham to be its partner on the new era of its journey of moving the brand to the vanguard of luxury motoring in the 21^st century. Aside from being a sports icon, Beckham is also known to be a philanthropist, businessman, and style trendsetter.

In a statement, Maserati Chief Marketing Officer Paolo Tubito said, “The brand is moving forward... Maserati is driven to challenge the status quo being innovative by nature, powered by passion, and unique by design. The partnership with David is the embodiment of all these values.”

Beckham stated, “It’s an exciting time for me to begin this partnership with Maserati; an iconic Italian brand which shares my appreciation for the very best innovation and design. I’m looking forward to working closely with the brand at such a pivotal time in their history and continuing their growth on a global scale.”

Maserati has recently released its first project with Beckham—an inspiring film that brings together the values of the Italian car brand and the global sports icon. The film features Beckham daringly driving a Maserati Levante Trofeo, the brand’s ultimate performance sports utility vehicle (SUV).
