MANILA: Auto Expo 2016, is the India-based auto event that runs on the same lines like the Manila International Auto Show. Being a biennial event it pays its rightful dues every two years, by providing a stage both for auto enthusiasts and automakers, where they greet each other open heartedly. This year as many as eighty cars are scheduled to be unveiled at the India native auto show. Amongst them, there are some cars that are likely to interest you and can make a future showcasing on the Philippines shores.
Below is the list of four cars to expect in the Philippines market in near future -
Suzuki Vitara Brezza – First in line is a compact sport utility vehicle from the house of Suzuki. Seeing the growing demand of crossovers all over the world, the auto brands are not delaying in filling up this demand-supply gap. Yesterday was the first media day of the Auto Expo were the band launched this 1.3L DDiS powered machine that effortlessly churns out 90 PS of power. This diesel mill is soon expected to be accompanied by a 1.2L and 1.0L petrol mill.
Honda BR-V – The BR-V was showcased for the first time at the GIIAS 2015, the Indonesian auto show where it was welcomed with both applauses and criticisms. Indian market is the next in row where Honda has launched a never seen before SUV+MPV segment. The car is available with two engine options, one a petrol and other a diesel churner. The 1.5L petrol engine generates 120 PS of maximum power along with 145 Nm of peak torque. As for the 1.5L diesel engine, it is known to produce 100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. What's common in the two is the 6-speed automatic gearbox that supplies power to the front wheels.

Tagged as the ninth generation model it is deemed to have accompanied by some strict changes. One major coming in from of its hybrid shift, the car now carries a 2.0L 16-valve i-VTEC petrol mill that in order to full-fill its hybrid destiny is mated to a lithium-ion-battery and electric motor. The combined output of the engine and motor is known to be 198 PS and 360 Nm.
Toyota Camry Hybrid - Toyota is a ruling automobile brand and enjoys a strong domination both in India and Philippines. At this year's Auto Expo Toyota became a head turner as it came up with a hybrid version of its sedan Camry. Our market is still missing this one, and only has Prius and Prius C in the name of Toyota hybrid cars. The one showcased is powered by a 2AR-FXE petrol engine that is paired to a synchronous motor with a nickel-metal battery. The said hybrid system generates a total power output of 205 PS and has a fuel economy of 19.16 kmpl.
