MANILA: Dodge has unveiled the latest model on its “Last Call” lineup, the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the notable design elements of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona?

The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona is embellished with Satin Black King Daytona rear fender graphics, Satin Black hood, roof graphics, and spoiler; Satin Chrome exterior badging; Bright Mopar hood pin kit; and Orange six-piston Brembo brakes. It is fitted with 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels.
  • How many units of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona will be produced?

Only 300 units of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona will be produced.
  • The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona is inherited from William “Big Willie” Robinson, a famous monarch of the West Coast drag racing scene during the 1960s and 1970s. Robinson gave his 1969 Dodge Charger the moniker “King Daytona” and used it to not only earn victories at the drag strip but also to keep racers on the track and off the streets. The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona pays homage to the original with 807 horsepower, a Go Mango exterior, and unique orange interior accents.

The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona is the fifth of seven special-edition Dodge “Last Call” models which honor the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, whose current iterations are approaching their end. Previously revealed “Last Call” models include the Dodge Challenger Shakedown, Dodge Charger Super Bee, and Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger models.

The sixth “Last Call” model will be unveiled today, September 21, while the seventh and final special-edition model will be shown at the 2022 SEMA Show that will be held on November 1 to 4 in Nevada, USA.

“The special-edition Dodge Charger King Daytona honors a true icon of muscle car history. The final Dodge ‘Last Call’ models will continue to celebrate the legacy of the Dodge Charger and Challenger by paying tribute to two vehicles that hold a special place in our brand’s history,” Dodge Chief Executive Officer Tim Kuniskis stated.

Only 300 units of the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona will be built. The model is based on the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody.

The 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona is embellished with Satin Black King Daytona rear fender graphics, Satin Black hood, roof graphics, and spoiler; Satin Chrome exterior badging; Bright Mopar hood pin kit; and Orange six-piston Brembo brakes. It is fitted with 20-by-11-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels.

On the inside, the 2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona comes with Black Nappa/Alcantara “Daytona” seats with orange stitching; King Daytona interior instrument panel badge; Orange interior accent stitching on the instrument panel, console, steering wheel, and door trim; suede headliner, carbon fiber interior bezels, Alcantara steering wheel, Harman Kardon premium audio system, and a power sunroof. The special-edition model also comes with a navigation package.

All “Last Call” models will feature new “345” fender badging, referencing the 345-cubic-inch HEMI engine under the hood. A commemorative “Last Call” underhood plaque will be included in all 2023 Charger and Challenger units, making them a true collector’s vehicle. The plaque indicates the vehicle name and a vehicle silhouette, along with “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton” to declare the origin of each vehicle.

Dodge is also widening the reach of its popular SRT Jailbreak models, which were first released earlier this year for Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. The company has removed ordering limits on color combinations and access to exclusive content. The 717-horsepower Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat will also have Jailbreak variants available for the 2023 model year, giving more customers the chance to build their own unique muscle car.

Ordering details for the 2023 Charger and Challenger will be released later this year.
