Dodge unveils 2023 Charger Super Bee as second of seven special-edition ‘Last Call’ models

MANILA: After unveiling the 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown last week, Dodge announced the second of the seven special-edition “Last Call” models, the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee.

Dodge describes the 2023 Charger Super Bee as the highest-performance Charger Super Bee model ever produced, with standard drag radials that help the Super Bee fly to low quarter-mile ETs, and exclusive Super Bee badging and graphics that spruce up the hive.

The Dodge Super Bee was first introduced in 1968 and became a Charger model for 1971. It earned its iconic status in its brief initial four-year run by delivering an ultra-high performance.

“The Dodge Super Bee is more than commemorative of a cool heritage name — it is also a Charger variant of the Challenger 1320 grassroots race package. The special-edition 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee once again offers a Dodge vehicle that is equally at home on the street or on the drag strip,” Dodge Chief Executive Officer Tim Kuniskis stated.

Only 1,000 units of the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee will be produced, 500 of which will be Charger Scat Pack in B5 Blue and the other 500 will be Charger Scat Pack Widebody in Plum Crazy.

The 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee is embellished with Super Bee exterior badging on the grille and front fenders and Super Bee exterior graphics on the functional hood scoop and rear fenders. The Scat Pack model comes with 20-by-9.5-inch knurled wheels with 275 drag radials, while the Scat Pack Widebody is fitted with 18-by-11-inch drag wheels with 315 drag radials.

Super Bee logos can also be found at the instrument panel and seat back.

Other unique features include adaptive damping suspension with Drag Mode, Black Mopar hood pin kit, SRT hood with functional scoop and dual heat extractors, SRT black exhaust tips, and red four-piston Brembo brake system.

The Last Call lineup celebrates the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, whose current iterations are coming to end. Six special-edition Challenger and Charger models will be unveiled until September 21. The seventh and final 2023 Dodge model will be unveiled at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, which will be held on November 1 to 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A commemorative “Last Call” underhood plaque will be included in all 2023 Charger and Challenger units, making them a true collector’s vehicle.
