EDSA, Shaw Boulevard ban on light truck to resume May 24

MANILA: The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced the reimplementation of the uniform light trucks ban along EDSA and Shaw Boulevard starting Monday, May 24.

Trucks with a gross capacity weight of 4,500 kg and below will be prohibited from traveling along EDSA from Magallanes in Makati City to North Avenue in Quezon City, both northbound and southbound, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City and Pasig City, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The uniform light trucks ban will be observed from Monday to Saturday, except holidays. Violators will be subject to a P2,000 fine.
