EVAP reinforces global reach through collaboration with FTSC
Partnership helps the Philippine EV industry in gaining worldwide recognition
MANILA: The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), and by extension, the Philippines electric vehicle (EV) industry, has reinforced its global reach thanks to its continued cooperation with the Foreign Trade Service Corps (FTSC).

Per EVAP, the said organization has contributed greatly to making the country a key player in the global electric vehicle market.
Through the continued partnership, EVAP has grown stronger in its efforts to promote the Philippines EV industry abroad. The FTSC has contributed to the said initiative by providing EVAP with assistance in arranging important meetings, coordinating logistics, and sharing vital local knowledge.
The ongoing cooperation between EVAP and FTSC was further cemented by the two via a recent meeting attended by EVAP President Edmund Araga, Chairman Rommel Juan, and Chairman Emeritus Ferdi Raquelsantos, together with several FTSC Comercial Counselors.
During the aforementioned gathering, EVAP President Araga expressed his thanks to FTSC for its continued support.
“The partnership between EVAP and the Foreign Trade Service Corps has been instrumental in our efforts to expand the reach of the Philippine electric vehicle industry. The assistance provided by the Commercial Counselors in organizing meetings and providing logistical support has greatly contributed to the success of our international initiatives. We look forward to continuing this fruitful collaboration,” Araga said.
Currently, EVAP is gearing up for the upcoming 12th Philippines Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). The said event will be held on October 2024 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. This year’s PEVS will be attended by subject matter experts ranging from the local to the global EV industry.
