Everything You Need to Know About New Mirage 2016
MANILA: The wrapped up auto fiesta in Manila turned out to be a fruitful affair for the participating automotive brands as well as the visitors who showed up on all four days of the event. Among the flashy car launches occurred at the MIAS 2016 in past few days, one prominent launch was of the updated Mitsubishi Mirage 2016 that became the centre of attraction at the show soon as it took the stage. Exterior:
On the outside, the Mitsubishi hatchback has been completely revamped, now features an exclusive grille up front with chrome boundaries, projector-type headlamps and chrome garnished bumper. While the GLS models are adorned by Bi-Xenon HID setup with DRLs, the GLX models get the option of halogens. Moving on, the side profile is alluring with 14 or 15-inch alloy wheels, whose option depends on the model a customer opts for. The rear end gets a tweaked bumper, tailgate spoiler and refreshed LED tail lights.
Interior:
The majority of the tweaks are done to its exterior while the interior comes with subtle changes including a piano black trim on the centre console and the gearbox. The instrument cluster of the Mirage has also undergone changes imparting a new look to the cabin. Features adorning the GLX model include a new 7-inch infotainment system with touchscreen with DVD, USB, AUX, AM/FM, CD and Bluetooth connectivity. While the features like SD card slot and GPS navigation are reserved for GLS models.
What’s under the hood?
Being mingled to either CVT or 5-speed manual transmission system, the new Mirage still underpins a 1.2-litre three-cylinder MIVEC engine that is capable of churning out a max power of 78 PS and a peak torque of 100 Nm. However, a single modification done to its engine is the addition of new roller-type camshaft.
Price:
The main thing is how much one needs to loosen his pocket in order to grab this vehicle? The answer is expensive. Yes, the Mirage price has been increased by PhP 20,000 to 30,000 and now it can be grabbed with the following prices depending upon the trims.
