While the exterior of the Jetour Ice Cream EV scores full marks for the way it looks and the efforts made in making it look distinguished, the cabin is just the opposite. It has a sense of minimalism in its equipment levels and layout, which might not go too well with modern buyers, who want more from a car designed for urban taste.

The driver’s cockpit of the Jetour Ice Cream EV consists of a flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel and a large single-pod fully-digital instrument console behind it. The dashboard layout has a horizontal and sleek look to it, with the Ice Cream EV getting sharp and slim-looking AC vents on the corners and in the middle of the centre console.

Talking about the centre console, it looks very basic with the only thing present below the AC vents being the control panel for the manual AC. The car lacks a proper infotainment system, and instead gets a dock to mount your smartphone and use it for your infotainment duties. The drive controller knob and power window switches are placed on a flat panel between the front seats. The Ice Cream EV also has a rear bench, which is good enough only for small kids.

Mini EVs around the world are destined to look eye-catching with their sub-compact dimensions, two-door profile, and cutesy looks. In that direction, the Jetour Ice Cream EV is worth your attention. This mini electric vehicle, with its funky-looking colour options and unique design, is one attention-grabbing thing on the road.

At the front, the Jetour Ice Cream EV come with large housings for the all-LED projector headlamps, along with U-shaped daytime running LEDs. The closed rectangular grille between the headlamps has a small rounded rectangular cap for the charging port. The front bumper has a protruding-out design, which has a large rectangular garnish across its width, with provision for fog lamps on its corners and a large air dam in the middle.

Move towards the side, and you will be amazed by how tiny and cute the Jetour Ice Cream EV looks. The front and rear fenders of this electric vehicle have a flared design with characteristic curves over them. The small 12-inch steel wheels have a unique-looking three-spoke design, mimicking the caps of a bottle. While there is a sharp crease flowing through the entire side profile, the window waistline has a kink rising towards the rear. The Ice Cream EV has a two-door profile, with rearview mirrors mounted on the door panels.

At the back, the Jetour Ice Cream EV mimics the design of the large housings for the headlamps for its tail lamps, with the same-looking U-shaped LED inserts within them. The rear profile has an almost vertical design for the rear windscreen, which has a sporty-looking spoiler at the top. There is a hint of muscularity in its design with the Ice Cream EV having a stubby boot lid and a well-contoured rear bumper, which accommodates two rounded lights beside the license plate housing.

The Jetour Ice Cream EV is meant for intra-city short-distance drives, and for that purpose, it fares pretty decent with its light steering being a boon to tackle the congested city roads and traffic. Due to the small 12-inch wheels and stiff suspension setup, the ride can feel bouncy at times.

The Jetour Ice Cream EV comes with a rear-mounted 27 PS electric motor, which is placed at the back and channels the power produced to the rear wheels. With this electric motor in place, the Ice Cream EV can reach a top speed of 100 kmph. The 13.9 kWh battery pack offered as standard in the Ice Cream EV claims to offer a maximum driving range of 170 km, which is decent enough for making it a good short-distance commuter.

The Ice Cream EV has a very basic safety equipment list, comprising only a driver-side airbag and ABS.

The Jetour Ice Cream EV comes across as a nice urban mobility solution, which looks good and feels light and easy to drive in the urban environment. However, we would have loved to see more features, which could have increased its appeal among younger buyers even more.
