Exciting car launches, raffle prizes set for Singapore Motorshow 2024 next week

MANILA: The Motor Traders Association of Singapore (MTA) will once again stage the Lion City’s biggest annual motoring event — the Singapore Motorshow — at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Center on January 11-14.

Some 25 automotive brands will display their latest models throughout the four-day event. The Singapore Motorshow will also welcome two new brands in its roster — Chinese car brand Omoda and electric car group SRM.

One of the models that will make its Southeast Asia debut at the event is the Mini Aceman Concept, the brand’s first all-electric crossover sport activity vehicle. It features an all-new intelligent architecture, clearly defined contours, and innovative interactive technology.

Another new model to watch out for is the Lexus LBX, which is designed for a younger market. It is powered by a new-generation, self-charging Lexus hybrid electric system with a compact and lightweight 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine.

The Volvo EX30 will also make its ASEAN debut at the event. The fully electric small sport utility vehicle is developed to have the least carbon emissions among any Volvo car.

Digital automation and energy management specialist Schneider Electric will also be joining the motor show for the first time as the official electric vehicle charger partner.

Lucky attendees will also get to win a Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid or a Nissan Kicks e-Power at the event raffle.

British precision driver and Guinness World Record holder Russ Swift will also perform his breathtaking stunts, including precision J-Turns and high-speed doughnuts.

• January 11 and 12: 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m.
• January 13:  12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m.
• January 14: 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
