The all-new i20 is part of Hyundai's third generation of successful models, and it was first introduced in 2008. It is seen as an ideal model that is highly competent in terms of price, performance, and convenience. The all-new i20 also incorporates a new, innovative look aside from its key features.
The vehicle demonstrates a modern, lightweight design with better proportions. It features a groundbreaking, bold layout that reflects Hyundai's new concept of Sensuous Sportiness design. The balance between four essential elements characterizes the concept, namely, architecture, proportion, style, and technology. The goal of this design approach is to build emotional interest and to offer a unique, fresh look to Hyundai vehicles.
The new Hyundai model boasts of a stylish interior design, which includes a prominent dashboard. It also has built-in ambient lighting that provides a light feel to the cockpit. The new horizontal blades extending across the high panel are among its most distinctive features. The horizontal blades make the front grille look sleek and broad, giving it a unique appearance.
The all-new i20 also demonstrates roominess and functionality. In general, boot space for a total of 351 liters was increased by 25 liters as compared to the previous i20 generation. The interior is also equipped with the B-segment's "most robust networking equipment and the finest-in-class integrated safety kit".
The all-new i20 combines connectivity with several versatile high-tech features. Now available wirelessly, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay allow customers to reflect the characteristics of their Android and iOS smartphones.
The latest 10.25-inch digital cluster and 10.25-inch center touchscreen were visually integrated to improve the functionality and aesthetic feel of the interior. The touchscreen also provides multitasking split-screen features.
A wireless charging pad located in the center console ensures that all-new i20 customers no longer have to use cables to charge their smartphones and other gadgets. Alternatively, rear passengers can use a USB charging port. Because of modern LED ambient light technology, drivers and passengers of the all-new i20 will also enjoy high-quality interior lighting even when they are traveling at night.
The all-new i20 is the first Hyundai model in Europe to include a superior Bose audio system, featuring eight speakers, for a more exceptional in-car entertainment.
The new Hyundai model also features Bluelink technology, which provides a broad selection of connected car services and remote features through the Bluelink smartphone application. The connected car services include the Hyundai Live Services, which features real-time traffic details, weather updates, parking spaces, and fuel stations with prices. It also has an online voice recognition feature, which is cloud-based to provide an understanding of natural languages.
Bluelink app services on the other hand include maintenance, which entails obtaining vehicle reports and relevant driving information; vehicle alarm notification for added security; Send to Car, which involves searching for local POIs and sending results to the navigation system of the car; remote services for remote locking of cars; and Find my Car, wherein the driver can locate the car easily even in unfamiliar environments.
The all-new i20 also has an electrified 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain for optimized performance. It also features a new generation Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), which provides cyclist and pedestrian detection for guaranteed road safety.
Other features of the new model are numerous new safety enhancements from SmartSense, which make the all-new i20 the most extensive security package in its group. Among these features is the navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, used to preserve a suitable speed on highways. It also has the Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, which independently adjusts the speed of the vehicle.
The all-new i20 unveils the new Lime Green interior trim option. Other options include Black Mono and Yellow Green, Black and Gray, and Black Mono.
All-new i20 customers will experience quality time inside their car with these interior upgrades. The designers of Hyundai sought for groundbreaking aesthetic and technological approaches to express the model's sleek proportions while producing a new and attractive look.
As for exterior features, the doors of the all-new i20 embrace the dashboard in a sophisticated and sultry way. This is because it has caught influence from various forms in nature. The door sculpture also suits the instrument panel area well. The polished steering wheel is also equipped with state-of-the-art toggle switches, while its color accents also complement the interior.
The versatile proportions of the all-new i20 provide an expanded width and an extended wheelbase as compared to the previous model. Furthermore, a reduced beltline and a thin, quarter-fixed glass window behind the door of the rear offer enhanced visibility for drivers. With its vibrant-looking front and rear bumpers, including its latest radiator grille, the all-new i20's sleek design is well-emphasized. The side portion offers aggressive dimensions and has a wedge shape. This is further enhanced through a strong side character line and a distinctive C-pillar layout.
