Ford lands 13th spot at 2025 JD Power US Vehicle Dependability Study

MANILA: Ford was ranked the 13th most dependable brand by the American data analytics company JD Power. 

Meanwhile, the Blue Oval marque’s luxury division Lincoln, landed on the 19th spot of the same list. 

The study, the Dearborn-headquartered carmaker noted, is based on responses of original owners of 2022 model-year vehicles in the United States (US) after three years of ownership. 

“We're encouraged by the progress we're making to improve quality while staying focused on tougher testing and rigorous monitoring of new vehicles to make sure they are as good as they can be when they leave the factory. We believe these actions will result in better long-term ownership experiences for our customers, like we saw in this year’s Vehicle Dependability Study,” Ford Executive Director of Quality Josh Halliburton said. 

The aforementioned results reflected a significant improvement for Ford (which jumped 10 spots ahead) and Lincoln (which moved up six positions). 

Ford Bronco Sport tops 2024 Initial Quality Study 

On top of its annual vehicle dependability study, JD Power also releases an initial quality study, which for benchmarking new vehicle quality. 

Last year, the Ford Bronco Sport ranked highest in initial quality among small sport utility vehicles in the US.
