Ford PH now carries Bronco badge

MANILA: Ford Philippines has formally removed the drapes off the  all-new Bronco following the seventh-generation Mustang’s reveal last month.

Expected to ramp up the brand’s number of  followers in the country, the iconic nameplate stirred much excitement as early as in the first quarter of 2024.

All-new Ford Bronco

On the other hand, the all-new Ford Bronco stands 4,811 mm long; 2,190 mm wide; and 1,854 mm tall that has a 2,950-mm wheelbase; 292-mm ground clearance; and 850-mm water-wading height.

The newly-introduced nameplate retained the famous boxy look to match the adventure-ready design led by the removable hardtop and doors. Its rounded LED headlamps flank the BRONCO lettering on the grille.

For its cabin, the sport utility vehicle also has a multi-function steering wheel and push start button. Pass the said portion is the eight-inch digital instrument panel in the dashboard along with the 12-inch touchscreen system that has Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. The infotainment is paired with a Bang and Olufsen 10-speaker set-up (including a subwoofer).

Under the all-new Ford Bronco’s hood is a 2.7-liter Ecoboost V6 engine with six drive modes namely Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Sand. It is matched to a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

Further, the vehicle’s advanced 4x4 system with automatic on-demand engagement goes well with its electronic front and rear locking differentials.

Further, the model also has a suite of driver-assistive features under Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology such as the auto high beam headlights, blind spot information system with cross traffic alert and braking, lane keeping system (including lane keeping assist and alert, driver alert, and road edge detection), pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and evasive steer assist, post impact braking, rear view camera and parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering functions.

Retailed in Outer Banks with Sasquatch Package, the Ford Bronco (which has a starting price of P4.998 million) is available in Eruption Green, Race Red, Cactus Gray, Oxford White, Azure Gray, and Shadow Black body color options.

All-new Ford Mustang

Meanwhile, the Blue Oval's Philippine arm showcased the Mustang at the launch venue.

Revealed last month, the all-new Ford Mustang is 4,811 millimeters (mm) long; 2,097 mm wide; and as high as 1,414 mm tall with a 2,719 mm wheelbase.

Its exterior features a more athletic outline compared to the previous version (which already has a sporty appearance) — thanks to its sharp lines and edges. The front fascia is fitted with tri-bar headlamps bordering its honeycomb grille, which carries a figure of a free-roaming horse where the model was named after. Its top-spec version has hood vents.

The muscle car wears a long-slung silhouette, complemented by the robust line at the door’s lower portion as well as the 19-inch aluminum wheels.

Meanwhile, the all-new Ford Mustang’s rear sports a similar design as the taillamps also have a tri-bar pattern.

Inside, latest version of the Ford Mustang is equipped with Recaro sport leather seats, a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, 12-inch digital cluster, magnesium-framed 13-inch colored center display with Sync 4 technology and enhanced voice recognition, and wireless charging dock. 

Depending on the variant chosen, the all-new Ford Mustang could be powered by either a 5.0-liter V8 or 2.3-liter Ecoboost engine. Both options are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and have six-selectable drive modes namely Normal, Sport, Slippery, Track, Drag Strip, and Custom.

Stopping power is guaranteed by the four-wheel disc brakes with four-sensor, four-channel anti-lock braking system.

It also has a myriad of technologies such as the AdvanceTrac with Electronic Stability Control, Perimeter Alarm, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, and a comprehensive airbag system (driver and front passenger, curtain, front side,   and passenger knee).

Similar to the all-new Ford Bronco, the Mustang also has the Ford Co-Pilot technology.

Available in Race Red, Iconic Silver, Vapor Blue, Oxford White, Shadow Black, Yellow Splash, and Grabber Blue, the all-new Ford Mustang can be had in the following variations:

• Ecoboost Premium: P3.499 million
• GT Premium: P3.999 million
