Formula 1 to use Lenovo tech for operations, race broadcast of 2022 season
MANILA: Lenovo is now the official partner of Formula 1 for the motorsport's 2022 season. The multi-year deal will see Lenovo’s cutting-edge technology used across Formula 1’s operations, according to a release.

Lenovo will work with F1 on projects, such as providing education and employment for underrepresented groups, a release said.In the partnership, Lenovo's technology will be used in Formula 1's organization, base, and races. The tech firm's computing and server solutions, and on-site data and broadcasting support will be used by F1 in its operations and races.
The partnership aims to "leverage Lenovo’s extensive selection of premium hardware... next-generation technology such as augmented and virtual reality, as F1 continues to connect fans with the sport in new and more engaging ways," the release added.
Earlier this year, F1 announced that it plans to create employment and education opportunities for underrepresented groups, in the form of 10 engineering scholarships each year through to 2025.
Lenovo will work with F1 on projects related to this important area.
"Like everything in Formula 1, precision and detail are everything, and Lenovo will be at the forefront of providing their experience and innovative technologies to our operations throughout the season," President and CEO of Formula 1 Stefano Domenicali expressed in a statement.
