From 'pony' to pedal power: Ford releases Bronco, Mustang-inspired e-bikes
Both equipped with 750W motors
MANILA: Ford has launched two e-bike models that are inspired from the Bronco and Mustang.

The Ford Bronco eBike's price starts at $4,500 (around P260,000) while the Mustang eBike, $4,000 (approximately P231,000).The Dearborn-headquartered marque released the officially licensed Ford Bronco and Mustang eBikes roster in partnership with N+.
"We know the passion and thrill that gets unlocked when people get behind the wheel of a Bronco and Mustang,” Ford global brand licensing manager Tyler Hill said.
“These new eBikes will allow more people to experience the adventurous spirit of a Bronco and the exhilaration of a Mustang from the moment they grip the handlebars,” he added.
Roused by the rugged design and performance of its SUV counterpart, the Ford Bronco eBike is fitted with a motorcycle-style seat and a dual suspension system inspired from the G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) mode.
It also comes with Pirelli Scorpion Enduro M hardwall 27.5" x 2.6" tires and running lights for improved visibility.
The Bronco eBike’s pricing starts at $4,500 (around P260,000) and is offered in 11 color options.
Meanwhile, the Mustang eBike model comes in two options, which include the 60th Anniversary Edition. Per Ford, the said bicycle features the sports car’s performance-driven design and technology.
It sits on Pirelli Angel GT semi-slick tires that enhance safety and rider confidence.
Ford said that the Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition will be sold in limited-edition fashion as it will be exclusively available through the marque’s dealers in limited quantities.
The Mustang eBike’s price starts at $4,000 (approximately P231,000) and is retailed in 11 color options.
All Ford Bronco and Mustang eBikes are powered by a 750-watt hub-mounted electric motor that can dish out 85 Newton-meters of torque. Its maximum assist speed from the power unit is up to 45 kilometer per hour and offers nearly 97 kilometers of range in approximately 3.5 hours of charge time.
The two models are also outfitted with a full-color digital cluster that displays real-time information like speed, battery life, and range.
Guaranteeing control in speed and stops are the four-piston hydraulic brakes.
Ford said that the two eBikes can be pre-ordered today with deliveries expected later within the year.
