GAC GS3 Emzoom sales milestone celebrated with social drive event

MANILA: GAC Motor Philippines held a social drive event for GS3 Emzoom owners to commemorate the crossover’s sales milestone in the Philippines.

The local wing of the Chinese carmaker revealed that as of May 2024, it handed over some 1,569 units of the GAC GS3 Emzoom to Filipino car buyers. For the month of May alone, sales of the crossover was at 320 units.

The said feat was achieved in a span of 11 months.

Locally, the GAC GS3 Emzoom is offered in three variants (GS, GB, and R-Style), all of which are powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine mated to a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission system.

Power figures are at 174 horses and 270 Newton-meters of torque.

Deceleration is handled by disk brakes front and back while suspension is facilitated by a McPherson setup at the fore and a torsion beam arrangement at the rear.

The range-topping model also offers heaps of driver-assistance technologies like adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, high beam assist, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning.

With such features coupled with attractive prices (GS P998,000, GB P1.098 million, R-Style P1.198 million), it’s not difficult to see why the GAC GS3 Emzoom has gained a handful of followers and has raked in such numbers.

On that note, GAC Motor Philippines gathered GS3 Emzoom owners to join the company in celebrating the aforementioned milestone, which saw nearly a hundred joiners.

Hand in hand with all Filipinos, we will forge on to bring transformative mobility options to every corner of the country. They came from various assembly points across Metro Manila, South Luzon, and North Luzon, including GAC Motor dealership locations like Alabang, Lipa, Kawit, Bacoor, Santa Rosa, Manila Bay, New Manila, Congressional Avenue, Fairview, Pasig, Marilao, Pampanga, and Tarlac.

The participants met at Petron Station KM23 along North Luzon Expressway-northbound. From there, the convoy proceeded to Fabrika Villas in Guagua, Pampanga, where a luncheon featuring a program and games awaited them.

“We’re gathered today to celebrate our new friendships and ignite a passion about our favorite Emzoom. We get to appreciate the beauty and reliability of our trusty and agile subcompact crossover with each other, and surely there will be more of us at these drive events soon. Buckle up, let’s hit the road, and turn every drive into an adventure. We will Emzoom on,” GAC Emzoom Club PH President Patrick Licup said.
