GAC Motor PH to introduce 6 models next year
Two upcoming MPV models were previewed by the local GAC distributor.
MANILA: Local GAC Motor distributor Astara Philippines has announced that they will be launching six new models in 2024.

GAC Motor has not yet revealed the exact prices of the two upcoming models, however, they said that the M8 could cost around P3 million to P4.1 million, while the M6 Pro could be priced at around P1.2 million to P1.6 million.Two of these models were previewed yesterday — the M8 and the M6 Pro multi-purpose vehicles (MPV).
The M8 is GAC Motor’s new-generation flagship MPV, the seven-seater premium van is designed with a 2-2-3 seating configuration and dual power sliding doors.
Under the hood of the M8 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct injection that produces 248 horsepower (hp) and 400 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the M8 is equipped with a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple Carplay connectivity, an eight-speaker sound system, and a keyless start system.
Safety is guaranteed by dual front and curtain airbags, electronic parking brake, hill-start hold, hill descent control, a surround view camera system, and an advanced driver assistance system.
On the other hand, the M6 Pro is positioned to be an ideal MPV for Filipino families. It offers a spacious and comfortable cabin with second-row captain seats and user-friendly tech features, including a 10.25-inch infotainment display that also comes with Apple Carplay connectivity, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, and Type-A and Type-C USB ports.
The M6 Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine that churns out 174 hp and 270 Nm of pulling power. The engine is mated to a seven-speed wet dual clutch transmission.
Astara has not yet revealed the exact prices of the two upcoming models, however, they said that the M8 could cost around P3 million to P4.1 million, while the M6 Pro could be priced at around P1.2 million to P1.6 million.
The four other other models will be revealed by Astara next year.
