GAC PH enjoys 274% growth in Q1 of 2024

MANILA: GAC Motor Philippines sold 774 units from January-March of 2024, which reflected a growth of 274 percent compared to the same period last year.

According to the Astara-led brand, the growth showed its strong momentum in retail sales. It also surpassed the industry’s total growth rate, which stands at 13 percent as reported by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated.

This significant achievement further motivates and emboldens us at Astara Philippines to continue bringing in vehicles that provide the unmatched experience and outstanding quality that meet the mobility needs of every Filipino,” GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt said.

GAC Motor Philippines noted that the surge in sales can be attributed to the increasing demand for the brand’s offerings, which include models like the Emzoom, Empow, Emkoo, and GS8. Further, newly launched nameplates such as the M8 and M6 Pro make GAC a more appealing brand for Filipino car buyers.

The brand’s growth is further supported by GAC Motor Philippines’ growing reach. The brand now has 26 dealerships in the country and is looking to further expand its network by reaching a total of 35 locations by the end of the year.

In recognition of the brand’s performance, GAC Motor International honored the Philippines as the Fastest Growing GAC Market in the world.
