Geely E5 receives Platinum Award from Muse Design

MANILA: The Geely E5 has been honored with the Platinum Award by Muse Design Awards.

Per the Hangzhou-headquartered carmaker, the E5 is the latest pure electric sport utility vehicle in its lineup. Its design merges Chinese design elements with the diverse needs of global consumers, resulting in a timeless aesthetic that transcends cultural boundaries and appeals to both elite and mainstream audiences.

After it made its premiere in China, the Geely E5 will make its global debut at the Automechanika Frankfurt EVA 2024. The event is scheduled from today to September 14, 2024.

It is built using the marque’s Geely Electronic Architecture (GEA) platform and is able to comply with global standards and adhere to the regulatory requirements of some 86 countries.

Notable “self-developed” features found on the Geely E5 include the Geely “short blade battery,” an intelligent electric drive system, and cell-to-battery technology, which allows the integration of the battery cells directly into the car’s structure rather than housing them in a conventional battery pack.

The Geely E5 is set to compete with other electric compact crossovers like the BYD Atto 3.
