Geely Holding vehicle sales breach 1.7-M mark in July YTD 2024

MANILA: Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) sold 1,739,467 units in the first seven months of 2024.

    Last month alone, Geely Holding’s retail performance improved by 10-percent year-on-year after delivering 245,752 units to clients around the world — with 110,042 examples (45-percent share of the overall Group sales) contributed by the electrified models.

    Geely Auto — which includes Lynk and Co and Zeekr — sold 150,782 units in July 2024, which is approximately 13-percent higher than the same month the previous year.

    Cornering 39.1 percent of the total sales for the month for Geely Auto are from the electrified models — with 59,051 examples handed over to owners. The said numbers  showed a 58-percent rise year on year.

    Breaking down further, Lynk and Co, sold 21,272 units — a 24-percent upsurge year-on-year — while Zeekr rolled out 15,655 units to clients (showing 30-percent growth year-on-year).

    Meanwhile, Volvo Cars sold 57,447 vehicles globally in July — with 49 percent of its coming from electrified products. Reflecting a six-percent rise year-over-year, the brand’s numbers were driven by the sales in Europe and Latin America as well as its growing line of electrified models.

    Proton Cars (a brand that Geely Auto has a 49.9-percent control), sold 15,103 units –cementing its position as the second largest vehicle seller in Malaysia with a 20.5-percent market share.
