Geely PH gets Lasan to lead vehicle sales

MANILA: Geely Philippines installed a new leader that is set to steer the company’s vehicle sales.

In a statement, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) announced that Ferdinand Lasan is the new Genera Manager for vehicle sales — following the assumption of Naoyuki Takeda as the firm’s president and chief executive officer last January 1.

The firm said that Lasan’s assumption of a role in Geely Philippines’ team solidifies its leadership team and showcases the brand's “commitment to continuous improvement.”

An industry veteran, Lasan brings with him his more than 20 years of experience and knowledge in the fields of automotive sales and banking.

“I am very optimistic about the future of the brand with the able support of additional team members who are the perfect pieces to complement our capabilities in various aspects of Vehicle Sales. This new and revitalized Vehicle Sales team will reach greater heights for the brand in 2024 with the support of our dealerships nationwide,” he said.

Relatedly, Geely Philippines shared that in a span of four years, the company has already sold 24,645 units in the market.

Meanwhile, the SGAP president (who replaced Yugo Kiyofuji) looks forward to a better year for Geely.

"As we embark on the journey of the upcoming year, we are mindful of the challenges that may arise. However, with unwavering confidence in the leadership of Ferdie, we believe that our eager and dedicated Vehicle Sales team is now well-equipped to face these challenges and lead us triumphantly towards achieving our goals.
