Geely PH updates Coolray, price starts at P1.199-M

Geely Philippines — now directly managed by its mother company — is ready to commence sales of the new Coolray to the local market.

In a statement, the Geely Automotive International Corporation-led automotive distributor said that the crossover’s latest iteration will be out in dealerships come second week of September after being released from a Philippine port late last month.

Below are the specifications of the new Geely Coolray.

Outside, the new Geely Coolray features a redesigned front grille, energy matrix LED headlamps, Tomahawk-style 18-inch wheels and sport calipers. It also has a two-tone Purple Prism gradient color option.

Meanwhile, the vehicle’s cabin is fitted with premium leather multi-function steering wheel, suspended integrated 10.25-inch liquid crystal display instrument panel and 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreen, and rhythmic ambient lighting.

Powering the spruced-up crossover is the NordThor Power 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that can deliver a maximum of 174 horses and 290 Newton-meters. The said mill is mated to a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

Its host of technologies include L2 intelligent driving blind spot detection system, intelligent automatic parking assist (composed of the adaptive parking brake and 12 sensors), 540-degree panoramic system, intelligent four-way digital video recorder, and tire pressure monitoring system.

In addition, it also comes with a 66-percent high strength steel six airbags. The vehicle is also supported by the BMA global new generation modular architecture chassis for a more stable, smoother and more comfortable ride.

Geely Philippines announced that its dealer-network is already accepting reservations for the new Coolray.

Below are the new Philippine-spec Geely Coolray's prices, which is retailed in two variants:

• Premium Plus: P1.199 million
• Sport Plus: P1.299 million

Further, The new Geely Coolray also comes with a two-tone Purple Prism gradient color option, which is priced at P1.349 million.
