Geely’s Lynk & Co just added another car to its portfolio, the 06
MANILA: New automotive player Lynk & Co—a premium car brand which is the brainchild of China's Geely and Sweden's Volvo, just released another SUV, the 06.
The latest Lynk & Co vehicle is rumored to be smaller than the 01 SUV. The length of the 01 is set at 4,340 mm, is 1,820 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,540 mm. If this is the case, then the 06 will likely have the same size as the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Juke, Mazda CX-5, and Honda CR-V.
Based on released photos of the 06, it shares the same Geely Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), found on Volvo XC40, with D-pillar design. The front fascia looks similar to the previously released models.
The glaring difference in the exterior is found at the rear. The 06 SUV doesn’t have the hockey stick-shaped taillights found on 01 and 02 and instead have a trailing line taillight almost similar to that of Lexus LC500.
The newest SUV offering of Lynk & Co will, speculatively, have the same 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine capable of producing 174 hp of power and or the 1.5-liter PHEV which can produce a maximum output of 190 Hp.
The Lynk & Co 06 is the sixth offering of the brand in its bid to roll out ten new vehicle models in China by 2020 and is likely to be available in dealership come early next year.
