Get Ready, for an upgraded version of Mercedes-Benz SL

MANILA: Yes, we know that the car is a bit old and is not as excited as Mercedes other lineups like the AMG. But to spice up the things and draw back attention to the dust covered SL line-up Mercedes is working in a facelift version of the same. Spy photographers like always were on high alert and didn't miss to captured the revamped SL when it was running down the roads of Germany ( for testing rounds, we suppose).

What started long back in 2011, when Mercedes first started leaking information about the sixth-generation SL-Class, all were thrilled, especially on knowing about its aluminum-intensive structure or its new weight reduction plan that effortlessly cut 220 pounds. The 2012 Detroit Auto Show didn't satisfy the hunger of many auto enthusiasts as the car still carried some hidden traits ( front profile to be precise).

After its launch in 2012, it's now seemed to the right time for a mid-cycle update. But a closer look at the spy shots reveals that the cars carry some yesteryear design language. Like for example, the Panamerican Grille that appeared first on the Mercedes racers of the 1950 and the rounded back and forth bumper area carry forward from AMG GT. On the interior side, we are expecting to see some technical updates, making it a tech stuffed Merc.

Under the hood, detailing is expected to remain same, as the same got a revamped last year. So, you'll be seeing the same 3.0L V-6 engine that is good enough to generate 329 PS of horsepower. The updated vehicle is expected to make an early 2016 debut with its sales starting from mid of the same year.
