Bentley Continental Interior & Features
The interiors of Bentley Continental are not just comfortable but it is beautiful and luxurious. Wooden accents with imprints of metallic materials are seen scattered inside. The seats are electrically adjustable and come with lumbar support function. The dashboard is finely designed with all functions of the vehicle properly integrated. A stylish three spoke steering wheel, chrome finished gear lever, and foot pedals with the brand initial 'B' give a nice feel to the driver, driving the car. The advanced HVAC system is there to keep the car cool and ventilated. The infotainment system has 8-inch touchscreen display which serves as a basic utility. The expensive 8” High Resolution audio system with eight speakers really contribute in enhancing your musical experience in the car.
Continental Exterior
The perfect harmony of design and dimensions is reflected in Bentley Continental. The new Continental GT Speed, new Continental GT Speed Convertible, New Continental GT V8 S, New Continental GT V8 S Convertible dimensions read as 4818 mm long, 1947 mm wide, and 1391 mm (1390 mm for Convertible) tall with the wheelbase of 2746 mm. While the other four: the New Continental GT, New Continental GT Convertible, New Continental GT V8, New Continental GT V8 Convertible dimensions read a bit different at height with 1401 mm and 1400 mm for convertible. The front has signature dark mesh radiator grille with chrome surround, stylish bi-xenon projector headlamps, large air intakes, v-shaped bonnet and prominent marque of the brand. The large fenders, sleek window frame, and 21-inch alloy wheels enhance the side look of the car. The tailgate again carries the V-shaped design just like the front bonnet and has integrated diffuser along with oval-shaped LED brake lights and oval exhaust pipes.
Bentley Continental Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Continental is available in eight versions of which four are equipped with a V8 plant and rest are powered by a W12 machine. The 4.0-litre V8 mill produces maximum power in the range of 507 to 528 PS and maximum torque in the range of 660 to 680 Nm. The four 6.0-litre W12 plant generates maximum power and torque in the range of 590 to 635 PS and 720 to 820 Nm respectively. Both the power plants are mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox, enabling the power to transfer smoothly.
Continental Braking & Safety
After working so much on exterior and interior, overlooking the safety sounds impossible . The car is blessed with array of safety features like anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution, hydraulic brake assistance function, speed sensitive power assisted steering system, and advanced stability control function. Tight seatbelt straps with airbags keep you intact at the time of collision. The engine gets disables in case a correct key is not used to open it. The headlights at the front ensure proper visibility in the night and thus in all driving a Bentley Continental becomes a safe driving experience.
Verdict
The Bentley Continental is a car with appealing exteriors, comfortable interiors and mind-blowing performance. The fuel economy figures are bit weak but the safety front is just appropriate with some extra features too. This expensive car is for those people who love to live larger than life.
