Here are the PH-spec Xforce’s possible trims, prices

MANILA: With its anticipated official introduction in the country, possible prices of the Philippine-spec Mitsubishi Xforce have  been seen circulating over social media.

Based on various posts from supposed agents, the upcoming crossover will be offered in two variants namely the GLS and GT. They will be priced at P1.367 million and P1.581 million, respectively.

Last February, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Executive Vice President for Sales Tatsuo Nakamura shared that its Philippine arm plans to introduce the vehicle by June 2024.

Expected to create a strong following in the Philippines, Nakamura expressed confidence that the five-seater sport utility vehicle’s overall design will attract clients in the country.

The executive also noted the forthcoming model’s usability as it comes with a “Wet mode” as part of four drive mode presets that can control its wheels and ensures “stability on wet roads by rain, and in flooded roads by storms.”

As seen in the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in February this year, the Mitsubishi Xforce sports a very contemporary look — highly identical to the XFC Concept displayed in the Philippines in July 2023.

Possible PH specs

While waiting for the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines’ official announcement, here are the possible specifications of the forthcoming Xforce.

As seen at the IIMS, the vehicle measures 4,390 millimeters (mm) long; 1,810 mm wide; and 1,660 mm tall with a 2,650-wheelbase and 222-millimeter ground clearance.

Powering the Philippine-spec Xforce will likely be 4A91 1.5-liter double overhead cam gasoline engine with Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system — the same mill fitted under the Xpander’s hood. Sending the power to the front wheels is the continuous variable transmission, which could make the crossover more efficient compared to its multi-purpose vehicle brethren.

In Indonesia, the powertrain set-up can deliver as much as 103 horsepower and 141 Newton-meters of torque.  Further, the engine has four drive modes namely normal, wet, gravel, and mud.

In addition, the vehicle is expected to be tailored with the Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system made up of eight speakers, with front tweeters on the A-pillars, subwoofers at the front doors, and coaxial two-way speakers for the rear portion.

Meanwhile, stopping power will probably come front and rear discs with anti-lock braking system and electronic brakeforce distribution as well as brake assist. It also has an electric parking brake with auto hold function.
