Here are the Subaru Palm Challenge 2023 PH leg finalists

After being parked since 2019, Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP) has brought back the Subaru Palm Challenge this year.

Held at the Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa last October 28, this year’s contest for the Philippine leg yielded five finalists out of the 60 participants after enduring a series of elimination games over the course of six hours.

Below are the names of the five individuals who will represent the Philippines and compete against participants from Singapore, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam:

• Alex Neblasca Jr.
• Reggie Purugganan
• Joy Paguntalan
• Chrisley Adelan
• Cyrus Corpuz

To note, Purugganan was also one of the finalists in the 2019 edition of the competition.

He and the four others will compete in the finals of the Tan Chong Car Challenge —scheduled on November 4-5 in Ngee Ann City, Singapore — for a chance to win an i-L EyeSight variant of the Crosstrek (formerly known locally as the XV).

All competitors are expected to brave fatigue and weather conditions on the said date to be the last person that has their palm on a Subaru car.

“Philippines, now is the moment to make your mark on history! Extend your wholehearted support to your family and friends who have earned their spot in this qualifying round. Rally behind them as they strive to claim the ultimate prize in Singapore and cement their place in the prestigious hall of champions,” MIP said in a statement.

Subaru vehicles are widely known for their innovative core technologies such as the following:

• Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (SAWD)
• Subaru Global Platform (SGP)
• Boxer Engine
• EyeSight 4.0 Advanced Driver Assist Technology
