Here’s what to expect with the PH-bound 6th-gen Honda CR-V

A few days from now, Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) will officially reveal the latest generation of the Honda CR-V.

According to the Japanese automotive marque’s local arm, the all-new model will be revealed on Wednesday (September 13).

To further stir excitement, below are some bits of information about the highly-anticipated forthcoming model.

The sixth-generation Honda CR-V will be offered in two powertrain options: gasoline and full hybrid (known as e:HEV) — dropping the diesel mill option that is available in the outgoing version.

The crème-de la-crème version will have a 2.0-liter gasoline powerplant with dual electric motors while the purely-gasoline-fed type will be turbocharged — the first in their lineage to be fitted with such boost.

In addition, the all-new CR-V will be equipped with the Honda CONNECT system that further enhances safety, security, and convenience — making it the first model locally to have the aforementioned technology.

Further, the sixth-generation CR-V will be fitted with the newest version of the Honda Sensing driver assistive technologies.

As seen abroad, the soon-to-be-released CR-V will have bigger dimensions and a roomier cabin.

Here are the all-new Honda CR-V's three variations and their respective price tags:

• 1.5 V Turbo CVT: P2.15 million
• 1.5 VX Turbo CVT AWD: P2.3 million
• 2.0 RS e:HEV E-CVT: P2.6 million

Further, HCPI has already started accepting pre-orders for the vehicle.
