Honda Cars PH Launches New Refreshed Versions of City and Brio

MANILA: The new Honda City and the new Honda Brio were officially unveiled by Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) today, July 13 at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

The refreshed versions of two of the best-selling Honda cars in the Philippines is on display at the Mega Fashion Hall until Sunday, June 16.

New Honda City

The new Honda City features a sportier and more stylish look with the new RS design front grille and new front and  rear bumper with carbon-wrapped lower molding for the RS variant. These upgrades give the car a sleeker, wider appearance and a commanding presence on the road.

All Honda City variants come standard with LED daytime running lights and fog lights, while the RS variant has LED headlights and the other variants have halogen projector headlights. All these come with headlight auto on/off function.

Horizontal character lines embellish the side, giving the car a dynamic stance while still radiating elegance. The new Honda City is also fitted with newly designed 15-inch wheels for the S and E variants and 16-inch alloy wheels for the RS and V variants.

The new Honda City also features a new rear bumper design with a carbon-wrapped diffuser. It is also equipped with LED tail lights, LED high-mount stop lamp, and high gloss black trunk spoiler.

On the inside, the RS variant comes with full leather seats with new design, sport pedals, and a 4.2-inch full color TFT meter with red ambient light instrument cluster.

An eight-inch advanced touchscreen display audio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard on the RS, V, and S variants.

The new Honda City is powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine mated to a CVT. This is considered as the most powerful engine in its segment, producing 121ps and 145Nm of torque. All variants of the new Honda City achieved fuel economy ratings of 22.2km/L based on the latest UN-R101 Fuel Economy Testing for highway driving conditions.

All Honda City variants also come standard with the Honda Sensing advanced driver-assist safety technology with features such as lead car departure notification system, collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system with lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and auto-high beam.

The Honda City is offered in six color variants, including the new Obsidian Blue Pearl option. The pricing for the new Honda City is as follows:

• Honda City 1.5 E CVT Honda Sensing - P973,000
• Honda City 1.5 S CVT Honda Sensing - P998,000
• Honda City 1.5 V CVT Honda Sensing - P1,073,000
• Honda City 1.5 RS CVT Honda Sensing - P1,128,000

New Honda Brio

The new Honda Brio is designed with a new piano black RS design front grille with bigger grille opening. All Honda Brio variants feature an all-LED lighting system, while the RS variant gets newly designed fog lights and fog light garnish.

The new Brio also comes with a tailgate spoiler and RS design rear bumper lower garnish and tail lights in the RS variants. 

The V variant is fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels, the S variant has 14-inch steel with cover wheels, while the RS variant is equipped with 15-inch RS design alloy wheels.

On the inside, the new Honda Brio is designed with black fabric seats with red accents for the RS variant. Speed-sensing auto door locks are standard on RS and V variants, while all variants have power windows with auto up/down for the driver’s window.

The new Honda Brio is equipped with a seven-inch capacitive touchscreen audio with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB Port, AM/FM, and Android Smartphone Mirroring.

Under the hood of the new Honda Brio is a 1.2-liter four-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC engine that delivers a 90ps and 119Nm of torque. The base variant gets a five-speed manual transmission, while the other variants come with a CVT.

Safety is also guaranteed by the new Honda Brio as it comes with driver and front-passenger airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, and rear parking sensors.

The new Honda Brio is available in six color variants, including the new Stellar Diamond Pearl and Electric Lime Metallic options. The pricing for the new Honda Brio is as follows:

• Honda Brio 1.2 S MT - P735,000
• Honda Brio 1.2 V CVT - P827,000
• Honda Brio 1.2 RS CVT - P853,000
• Honda Brio 1.2 RS Black Top CVT - P863,000
