Honda Cars Showcases Exceptional Fuel Economy Figures, Proves in-house Test
MANILA: Honda Cars Showcases excellent fuel economy and now this fact is well accomplished by the fact figures recorded during the official Honda test rounds conducted by the company. Honda Philippines recently concluded test rounds wherein they drove eight of their best cars and recorded the fuel economy figures both on the highway and city roads.
To the list were included both passenger and commercial vehicles. Honda Philippines cars like City, Mobilio, Brio Amaze, Brio, HR-V, Jazz, CR-V, and Odyssey were tested during the rounds that included 166 km of highway length and 55 km city ride.
As for the results, all the Honda cars fuel economy figures were both breath taking and amazing. In the passenger segment, City, Brio Amaze and Brio topped the charts. Where else in the commercial class the seven-seater Mobilio and two-door CR-Z ruled the day. Honda Philippines has attributed the success to the in-planted Earth Dream Technology that it says has improved both engine performance and fuel economy figures.
Mobilio, HR-V, and Odyssey won at the recently concluded car of the year award and their worth is now clearer with its great mileage ratings. Full care was taken to make the Honda test rounds authentic and for that, many regulations were taken care of like -
- Tire pressure, fulling, and air-con setting remained standard
- All settings were sealed before drive, insuring no changes in between
- Francisco Reyes, from AAP (Automobile Association of Philippines), strictly monitored entire scenario
The Highway testing round was conducted on Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway and North Luzon Expressway lying in between Urdaneta, Pangasinanfrom Petron Marilao station. For the city rounds, Honda chose EDSA, Gil Puyat Avenue, Roxas Boulevard, C5 roads and Kalayaan.
Engines under scan showcased a capacity of 1.3L, 1.5L, 1.8L, 2.0L and 2.4L. In this list, it was the 1.3 E MT, Honda Brio Amaze engine that displayed the highest Honda fuel economy figure with 33.88 km/L on the highway and 20.37 in the city, following it is Brio, CR-V, and City. As for Honda Jazz that recently got a 12 unit limited Mugen edition, showcased an impressive highway fuel economy of 25.34 km/L on the highway and 14.99 in traffic loaded city roads with its 1.5 VX+ CVT.
