Honda Cars PH sells over 500 CR-V RS e:HEV units since launch

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) has sold over 500 units of the CR-V RS e:Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) since its introduction in September 2023. 

The aforementioned sales achievement for the particular hybrid CR-V variant was shared by HCPI President Rie Miyake during the launch event of the refreshed Honda City Hatchback. 

With the CR-V RS e:HEV selling well, it has contributed to the Japanese brand's two major long-term initiatives. 

Since the entire CR-V lineup in the Philippines gets the Honda Sensing advanced driver assist suite, it advances the marque’s goal of reducing traffic collision fatalities worldwide by 2050.  The Honda model sold in the Philippines without the availability of Honda Sensing is the Brio hatchback. 

Second, the brand’s goal is to have a carbon-neutral product ecosystem by 2050. The CR-V RS e:HEV is connected to the latter as the brand touts it as an efficient fuel-sipper partly propelled by an electronic motor, depending on the driving situation.

According to Zigwheels Philippines’ review of the CR-V RS e:HEV, it can switch to using its electric-only mode in traffic, resulting in a fuel consumption rate of 20 kilometers per liter. With the said powertrain using less fuel, fewer harmful emissions are created. 

For those wanting to get the Honda CR-V RS e:HEV, it is currently priced at P2.59 million. It stands as the CR-V nameplate’s top-spec model, followed by the mid-spec VX Turbo priced at P2.28 million and the entry-level V Turbo priced at P2.1 million.
