Hyundai CV sales surge by 232.1% in July
MANILA: Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) recorded a 4.1% sales increase in July 2021 versus the previous month.
The commercial vehicle (CV) segment reported a whopping 232.1% sales increase in July, counterbalancing the slight decline in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment sales, which dipped by -12.1%.
Meanwhile, the passenger car (PC) segment saw a 3.8% increase in July versus the previous the previous month. The locally assembled Hyundai Accent led the segment with a 23.9% increase in sales.
The CV segment continues to lead HARI’s sales growth in July. It was spearheaded by the HD50S, which is used in the Hyundai Modern Jeepney Class II and Class III.
This impressive sales figure for July brings the year-to-date growth rate of HARI CV to 446.2% versus the same period in 2020. This is led by the Hyundai HD65, Hyundai HD36, and Hyundai HD50S.

Meanwhile, HARI’s modern jeepney lineup has become popular in Northern Luzon and VisMin as they were endorsed by local government units (LGUs) and transport cooperatives.
