Hyundai donates PPE to Lung Center frontliners
MANILA: Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), through HARI Foundation, Inc. (HFI), recently provided 2,200 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City. This initiative is under the current “Biyahe ng Bayani” COVID-19 response campaign of HFI.
“Biyahe ng Bayani,” part of the #Hyundai SAGIP initiative, has been delivering constant mobility reinforcement to health workers. This support involves the free delivery of essential medical supplies like PPE and surgical masks to partner health institutions in Northern and Southern Luzon, aside from Metro Manila.
The PPE was provided for Lung Center medical frontliners and health personnel to handle and treat COVID-19 patients efficiently.
The Lung Center has 22 laboratories that can test COVID-19 samples. An average of 25 to 30 patients is confined daily in this hospital.
The donation is also part of the combined nationwide efforts of HARI and its dealership network in line with their commitment to the global vision of HMC, “Humanity in Times of Hardship.”
HFI and Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) President Ma. Fe Perez Agudo stated that through the arrival of new PPE from South Korea, a country that has been recognized globally for its best practices in flattening the COVID-19 curve, Hyundai demonstrates its support to the medical frontliners and the healthcare sector in general.
Agudo also pointed out that HFI closely monitors the COVID-19 situation in the country and has defined more opportunities for engagement in terms of its “Biyahe ng Bayani” initiative.
