Hyundai gives first glimpse of updated i30
MANILA: After releasing i20 teaser sketches, Hyundai Motor has also afforded the public a first peek at the new i30 compact hatchback which it intends to premiere globally at the 2020 edition of the Geneva Motor Show next month.
In a release to the media, Hyundai makes mention of a “host of design upgrades including redesigned bumpers and new LED headlamps, bringing a stronger, sharper look and more visual appeal.”
The N-line (Hyundai’s performance sub-brand) model boasts a reworked front bumper and an “updated mesh pattern” grille for a stronger, wider appearance. The South Korean carmaker also bestows new LED headlamps and V-shaped integrated daytime running lights for a sportier look.
Hyundai promises to release more images and design highlights “in the coming weeks.” Even as the public waits for these, people are told they can expect “a new rear bumper, rear lights and alloy wheel designs in 16-inch, 17-inch and 18-inch styles. The interior design has also been enhanced, with a new digital instrument cluster and a larger 10.25-inch display, among other upgrades.”
An N-line version of its i30 Wagon will also be revealed – marking the first time the sporty trim will be available on all the i30 body types.
There’s no word yet if this model will eventually find its way to the Philippines, but fans of hot hatches are sure to gravitate towards this looker if it does.
