Hyundai hosts two-week exhibition to celebrate WTCR 2022 victory

MANILA: Hyundai Motor Company is holding a special exhibition and employee festivities at its headquarters to celebrate its victory in the Driver's and Team championships of the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) 2022.

With the exceptional performances of Mikel Azcona and Norbert Michelisz, the Elantra N TCR and the BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse team won the Team Championship during the two-week exhibition, which also recognizes Azcona's triumph in the 2022 WTRC Driver's Championship.

The WTCR-winning Elantra N TCR and the Elantra N, the mass-production model, are on display alongside WTCR champion trophies throughout the exhibition. A tribute display honoring Hyundai Motorsport's 10 years of accomplishments and history is placed around the cars along with N Collection products.

Hyundai Motor Company also held a fan meet with WTCR 2022 season champion driver Azcona, previous WTCR champions Michelisz (2019 Champion) and Gabriele Tarquini (2018 Champion), Hyundai Motorsport GmbH Customer Racing Manager Andrea Cisotti, and BRC Team Manager Gabriele Rizzo, to promote its high-performance N brand and to share behind-the-scenes stories and answer questions from the fans. Hyundai Motor Company also presented Hyundai Motorsport's achievements in 2022 and ambitions for 2023 at the event.

“We have planned a series of events to share Hyundai Motorsport’s achievements with all employees. We want these events to spark passion and share the winning spirit and pride of Hyundai Motorsport’s activities and the N brand. Hyundai Motor Company will continue to compete in global motorsport with the high-performance DNA of the N brand,” Hyundai Motor Company Vice President for N Brand Management and Motorsport Subdivision Till Wartenberg stated.

Racing games using the N Simulator are also being conducted in the exhibition hall for employees. Top performers win N Collection products, and today, the last day of the exhibition, the top five performers will compete for the ultimate prize.
