Hyundai Ioniq 5 receives Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS
MANILA: The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has given the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 a Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) rating. The significant feat gives Hyundai nine 2022 TSP+ and Top Safety Pick (TSP)-rated models. Together, Hyundai and Genesis have 14 TSP/TSP+ models.

The Ioniq 5 comes with the latest version of Hyundai SmartSense, a suite of advanced driver assistance systems that guarantee the highest standards of road safety and convenience. It is the first Hyundai model to be equipped with Highway Driving Assist 2. Other available driving assistance systems include Smart Cruise Control with Machine Learning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and High Beam Assist.
Other Hyundai models that received a TSP+ rating are Palisade, Nexo, Santa Fe, and Tucson. Meanwhile, Elantra, Sonata, Santa Cruz, and Venue received a TSP rating.
