Before becoming the head honcho of the Hyundai Motor Group, Chung served as the group’s executive vice chair from 2018 to 2020. He also sat as the vice chair of Hyundai Motor Company from 2009 to 2018 and as the president of Kia Corporation from 2005 to 2009.
