Hyundai PH caps off 20th anniversary by honoring 'resilient' dealerships
MANILA: Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) concluded the celebration of its 20th year with the Hyundai Dealer Resiliency Awards for Passenger Cars held virtually last Wednesday, December 15.

In a statement, HARI President and Chief Executive Officer Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said, “Not all heroes fly around in capes. They come in all shapes and sizes. They even feel afraid and sometimes stumble in all this uncertainty. But one thing is certain, they never back down and in difficult times, forging on and doing what must be done is already superhuman.”
A total of 39 resilience champions in six major categories were recognized at the awarding ceremony. The Edward S. Go Award, named after HARI’s late chairman of the board, honors dealerships that have excelled in all keys aspects of the business, including sales, after-sales, marketing, parts, and customer relations. Go was regarded and respected for his strong business expertise and, more crucially, for his firm stand on ethical behavior as the key to corporate sustainability. Go passed away last August.
Hyundai Alabang was hailed as the Edward S. Go Award Champion. Hyundai Commonwealth Avenue was named first runner-up, while Hyundai Dumaguete became the second runner-up.
The Resilience Award for Customer Relations Management went to Hyundai Cebu North, Hyundai Batangas City, Hyundai Dagupan, and Hyundai La Union. Meanwhile, the recipients of the Resilience Award for Parts Operations are Hyundai Commonwealth Avenue, Hyundai E. Rodriguez, Hyundai Baliwag, and Hyundai Pagsanjan.
Another department award is the Resilience Award for Marketing, which was received by Hyundai Alabang, Hyundai Cebu North, Hyundai Cebu South, Hyundai Cabanatuan City, Hyundai Cagayan de Oro, Hyundai Naga City, Hyundai Lipa, Hyundai Tacloban, and Hyundai Dumaguete.
The Resilience Award for After-sales was given to Hyundai Alabang, Hyundai Las Piñas, Hyundai Dagupan, and Hyundai Pagsanjan. Meanwhile, the Resilience Award for Sales was given to Hyundai Commonwealth Avenue, Hyundai Las Piñas, Hyundai Naga City, and Hyundai Dumaguete.
HARI also named the recipients of the Guardians of GPS award, which honors dealerships that have excellently adopted Hyundai’s Guidelines for Protection and Safety (GPS) in their daily operations. The winners of this award are Hyundai Cabanatuan City, Hyundai Biñan, and Hyundai Baliwag.
Another special award is the Fleet Sales Champion Award, which recognizes remarkable teamwork in achieving the biggest fleet sales in 2020-2021. The winners of this award are Hyundai Alabang, Hyundai Pasig City, Hyundai Biñan, and Hyundai Pagsanjan.
HARI has also given the title of Service Caravan King to dealerships who have consistently delivered the Hyundai ownership experience of “right care, everywhere” from the showroom to the customer’s doorstep. The Service Caravan Kings are Hyundai Commonwealth Avenue, Hyundai Cagayan de Oro, Hyundai Santiago City, and Hyundai Tagbilaran.
To conclude the event, Agudo stated, “After 20 years of operation in the Philippines, it gladdens the heart to see how the HARI Dealership Family has matured and toughened up in the bold and innovative spirit of our brand. Congratulations to our resiliency champions! Truly, Hyundai heroes in the new normal!”
