Hyundai releases first images of all-new Kona N

MANILA:, Hyundai Motor has just teased the all-new Kona N.

Through numerous images, the public was able to get a glimpse for the first time of the Hyundai’s newest addition to its high-performance, motorsport-inspired N range. It is also the first model to acquire a sport utility vehicle (SUV) body.

Based on the first images that were unveiled, the “hot SUV” takes pride in a sporty look, which is further highlighted by its broad, low stance.

For the first time, the Hyundai Design Center and Hyundai N division collaborated to design an SUV body. They were able to develop a vehicle that vividly demonstrates a pleasurable driving experience and a strong road presence. 

The all-new Kona N puts together the sleek style of the recently introduced new Kona with the expressive and confident language of the automaker’s N models. 

The new light signature provides the newest high-performance model of Hyundai with a strong and robust look. Large, classic, and sporty air intakes also govern the front view of the vehicle. 

The profile of the bumper fascia is well-defined with a lower grille. The shape draws inspiration from aeronautic fuselage and extends to the car sides, which further highlights the vehicle’s speed and aerodynamic efficiency. Completing the overall appearance of the vehicle is an N emblem on the distinct upper grille.

A large double-wing roof spoiler can be seen at the rear for improved downforce and rear view. It also integrates a third, triangular brake light, which is commonly present in N models. 

Large N dual exhaust mufflers add to the high-performance vibe of the model. A large diffuser can be found lower down the rear bumper to improve airflow release.

Body-colored fenders further highlight the sporty look of the Kona N, allowing it to be physically closer to the ground.

The all-new Kona N is also fitted with attention-grabbing features that are seen in N models like exclusive alloy wheels as well as red accents that adorn the side sills.
