KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What are the highlight exterior design cues of the 2023 Hyundaui Grandeur?

Pure volume and superb sense of proportions, which mix luxurious and energetic stylistic elements, are among the most striking features of this model. The Seamless Horizon Lamp, which is modeled after the first light of dawn and complements the model's wide stance and parametric jewel grill, defines the all-new Grandeur.
  • What are the interior design elements of the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur?

Incorporating and rearranging controls to create a more driver-friendly arrangement, the steering wheel was also recreated in its current shape using the single-spoke design of the first-generation Grandeur as inspiration.
  • The Grandeur has led the Korean sedan industry since it made its debut as Hyundai's high-end sedan in 1986, with a design and innovations that stand for success and top-notch quality.

The seventh-generation 2023 Hyundai Grandeur has developed into a model with a new level of sophistication and refinement, packed with cutting-edge design cues and high-tech features that reflect the great transformation taking place in the mobility sector — without losing sight of the model's incredible heritage.

SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Design Center, reiterates the purpose of the luxury sedan.

“The seventh-generation Grandeur expresses our respect for the past and commitment to move on to the future. We are creating a new standard for the premium sedan market through emotive design and a refined customer experience,” SangYup said.

Hyundai Motor's strategy to reflect on its past while charting a road for the future is used to the external design of the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur.

The Seamless Horizon Lamp epitomizes Grandeur's future-focused design sensibility and is the ideal union of technology and art.

Frameless doors and auto-flush handles highlight the model's modern elegance and refinement, and are combined with a single character line that runs smoothly and horizontally from the headlamps to the rear combination lighting to emphasize the large sedan's pure volume.

Grandeur’s stretched wheelbase harmonizes with the boldly receding cowl point and C-pillar to provide an excellent sense of spaciousness as well as dynamic and sporty proportions.

Another part the ‘Seamless Horizon’ design is also applied to is the the signature combination lamp that spans the taut rear end, emphasizing the model’s slim yet confident stance.

Hyundai designed a wraparound interior area within the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur with luxury and eco-friendly materials to offer a spotless, pleasant retreat from busy lives.

The front of the dashboard and the door trim are softly lit by ambient mood lighting, and the integrated display's upper right interactive illumination offers a fresh user interface. The door trim's pattern features were created with a delicate Korean aesthetic in mind. Together, these components offer travelers a tranquil setting for rest and recuperation.

Incorporating and rearranging controls to create a more driver-friendly arrangement, the steering wheel was also recreated in its current shape using the single-spoke design of the first-generation Grandeur as inspiration.

The console space offers organized storage conveniences and wireless charging designed for a variety of client lifestyles and connectivity requirements when the gear knob is relocated to the steering wheel.

On the sleekly styled interior surfaces, designers applied real wood, aluminum and naturally dyed Napa leather quilted in a traditional Korean pattern to provide further differentiation and refinement. The sedan’s interior and exterior abound with sustainable materials. In addition to eco-process Napa leather, there is hygienic, anti-bacterial leather applied to various touchpoints.

It is likely that the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur will benefit from Hyundai's over-the-air updates (OTA).

All models, including those that have already been acquired, will stay current thanks to the continually developing mobility and software technologies used by Hyundai. This will make it possible to update vehicle features via OTA software updates, including safety, convenience, connection, security, and driving performance.

From 2023, all newly launched vehicles of Hyundai Motor Group will be equipped to receive OTA. This transformation will apply not just to electric models, but also internal combustion engine vehicles. All of Hyundai’s vehicle segments sold worldwide will evolve to be software defined by 2025.

With OTA, Customers will be able to remotely upgrade the performance and functionality of their vehicles anywhere at any time, without any need to take them to a service center.
On the other hand, Hyundai has unveiled another premium sedan this year named the Ioniq 6. The electric vehicle boasts advanced technologies, personalized space and features, and extended range.

The Ioniq 6 delivers an estimated all-electric range of over 610 kilometers, according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) standard. For ultra-fast charging, the Ioniq 6 comes with 400V/800V multi-charging capability made possible by

    Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
Along with what may be Hyundai’s most aerodynamic styling to date are an array of modern features, such as Dual Color Ambient Lighting, Speed Sync Lighting, EV Performance Tune-up and Electric Active Sound Design (e-ASD).

The Ioniq 6 "is the next ambitious step forward in Hyundai Motor’s strategy to accelerate its transition to electrification and into a position as a global leader in EVs,” President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company Jaehoon Chang stated in a previous release.
"The Ioniq 6 Electrified Streamliner will provide a unique and distinctive experience for drivers and passengers, optimized in every way to redefine electric mobility.”

The electrified streamliner's 4,855-millimeter length, 1,880mm width, 1,495mm height, and sleek body are supported by the E-GMP and a choice of 20-inch or 18-inch wheels.

A comfy and personalized hideaway is what the Ioniq 6 interior offers. The Dual Color Ambient Lighting allows a driver to customize the look and feel of the interior cabin by selecting from a spectrum of 64 colors and six pre-selected themes . The Speed Sync changes the brightness of the interior lighting in the first row based on the vehicle’s speed.

Inside, the Ioniq 6’s modular touchscreen dashboard also integrates a 12-inch full-touch infotainment display and 12-inch digital cluster that houses advanced technologies.

These technologies include real-time travel radius mapping based on the current state of charge. The system’s connected car services also help search and plan the best route to include a charging station along the way. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are projected onto a widescreen display.

Like the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 provides an innovative vehicle-to-load (V2L) function that allows customers to plug in electric devices to the car to charge them. It is ideal for powering necessities during a power outage, camping or outdoor projects.

V2L is enabled using an available accessory adaptor and goes into the outside charging port. In addition to the outside power outlet, there is a second outlet underneath the back row seat for charging laptops, phones and other devices.

The Ioniq 5’s V2L function powered Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH)’s booth at the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from October 20 to 21.

HMPH recently became a member of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP), a group whose goal is to encourage the use of electric vehicles in the Philippines by bringing about greater public awareness, accelerating societal adoption, and working with the government and other institutions.

"Its signature look is definitely special and hard to miss. Though not only is it a mere display, but also the source powering up the cafe here at our booth. This is made possible via its V2L functionality which we urge visitors to check and learn first-hand. Don’t miss this chance and grab a freshly brewed cup," HMPH Deputy General Manager for Marketing Mark Parulan described the brand’s 10th PEVS booth.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be officially launched in the Philippines in 2023.
